Being a NIFTian, one thing you would easily connect to is the "redos". It won’t take long for you to get accustomed to it. It’s like living up the Kabir das' doha "Guru Kumhar Sikh Kumbh Hai, Gadh Gadh Kadhe Khot Antar Hath Sahar De, Bahar Bahe Chot". It hurts at times, frustrates us, for all the faults that the professor manages to find, in something you thought was exceptionally your best work. And to do it again after the hours and days you invested in it??? After the efforts you put in!! Well... :(
But that’s the glory of it after all, and you slowly understand why is it NIFT.
The mentors are your best supports and your greatest critics at the same time. Who tell you thousand things to do and you might feel you are losing over your originality, but what you THINK is not always the reality. And they are the ones who being a critic can help you face the bitter reality better, learn better, and in the end help you know your potentials better.
WE are lucky to have mentors who take interest in our lives and future, while we ourselves forget that, being lost in the moment. :)
It’s difficult to sum up the role of our teachers in words. But you are sure to enjoy the sweet and salty moments with them with appreciations and the redos :D
